In this chapter you learned all the essential theory relating to Intervals and began to familiarise yourself with their sounds. You now know a range of ways to practice interval recognition, and continually increase your skills. You’ve also seen some of the connections between Intervals and Solfa, and how they can each help the other, either by explicitly being used together, or through the under-the-hood magic of Convergent Learning.
In Part III we’ll go deeper on applied skills like Playing By Ear, Improvisation, and Songwriting, showing you the frameworks you can use to learn each, including where Intervals can be leveraged to help you, through your sense of Relative Pitch.
Whether you had previous experience of Intervals, or this was your first time encountering them, I hope you are feeling excited by the potential that these powerful building blocks have to offer you!
